Beach combing, paddling and sand castles: take off your shoes and enjoy the lovely sandy beaches right on the doorstep at Vale End, and also a few minutes away at the East Sands – safe, accessible, invigorating.
Walking: walk along the coast for miles in either direction, ascend Berwick Law, or enjoy peaceful country strolls.

Golf: the world famous North Berwick West and Glen courses are only minutes away. The three championship courses at Gullane a few miles away; Archerfield, Muirfield, Luffness, Kilspindie, Craigielaw, the list goes on.
